In this post you’ll find the best low end shaders for Minecraft 1.17 and up! Minecraft can be pretty hard to run on low end systems, especially if you throw shaders in the mix. Because of that, I decided to select some of the best shaders for Minecraft 1.17, that should work just fine on older systems.
Among the four best low end shaders are some shaderpacks you may know, such as Builder’s Quality of Life or Builder’s QoL Shaders and Tea Shaders. Both of these shaders give insanely high FPS, which is why they should work even on low end PC’s.
Minecraft does not support shaders by default, you will have to install a mod called Optifine to be able to add these best low end shaders for Minecraft 1.17.1 to the game. If you’re not sure how to install Optifine for Minecraft 1.17 and up, check out this post.

Low end shaders are different from high end shaders in that they usually lack high end features, to save FPS. High end shaderpacks like BSL Shaders may include high resolution shadows, fluffy clouds, god rays, ambient occlusion and so on. By cutting out some of these features that heavily impact performance, many low end shaders are able to achieve playable FPS on low end PC’s.
